Heavy Truck Drivers (ANZSCO: ******)

Full-time/Permanent

$80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Transport commercial freight using heavy and multi-combination vehicles across metropolitan, regional and interstate routes.
2. Undertake scheduled long-haul journeys, including eastbound runs and services to regional and remote destinations.
3. Review consignment details, delivery documentation and planned routes before departure and meet allocated delivery windows.
4. Perform pre-departure and post-journey vehicle inspections and report mechanical defects, damage or safety issues without delay.
5. Participate in or oversee the safe loading and unloading of freight at single and multiple collection and delivery locations.
6. Check the positioning and weight distribution of cargo and apply suitable chains, straps and other load-restraint devices.
7. Communicate regularly with dispatch personnel regarding journey progress, delays, revised routes and delivery instructions.
8. Prepare and maintain accurate work diaries, run sheets, proof-of-delivery documents and vehicle inspection records.
9. Operate navigation, communication and fleet-tracking systems to follow designated routes and record delivery progress.
10. Observe all applicable requirements concerning driving hours, fatigue management, road safety, load restraint and chain of responsibility.
11. Immediately notify management of accidents, damaged freight, delivery discrepancies or other transport-related incidents.
12. Refuel, clean and conduct authorised routine checks on assigned vehicles while maintaining courteous and professional customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field or equivalent relevant industry experience
2. Valid Australian MC truck licence
3. Minimum of 1 year's recent heavy or multi-combination driving experience
4. Experience undertaking metropolitan, regional or interstate freight deliveries
5. Sound geographic knowledge of Australian road networks
6. Knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint, chain of responsibility and heavy-vehicle safety
7. Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify and report vehicle faults
8. Fatigue Management Certificate and Load Restraint Certificate
9. Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical
10. MSIC Card, Dangerous Goods Licence, BFM accreditation and forklift ticket where required, or willingness to obtain them

Maintenance Planner (ANZSCO: ****** - Maintenance Planner)

Full-time/Permanent

$80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administer a comprehensive asset register covering the company’s prime movers, trucks, trailers and freight-handling equipment.
2. Keep accurate records of registrations, warranties, service histories, inspection dates, odometer readings and reported mechanical faults.
3. Formulate planned maintenance programs by considering vehicle utilisation, manufacturer specifications and roadworthiness obligations.
4. Schedule servicing, inspections and repairs to preserve fleet availability and reduce disruption to transport operations.
5. Create maintenance work orders and organise the personnel, replacement parts, contractors and facilities required for each job.
6. Assess defects reported by drivers and determine repair priorities according to safety risks, compliance requirements and operational needs.
7. Liaise with drivers, dispatch personnel and management to arrange vehicles for maintenance and return them to service efficiently.
8. Track stocks of commonly required components and maintenance supplies and organise replacement stock when necessary.
9. Forecast labour, parts and external repair expenses and assist with maintenance budgeting and expenditure control.
10. Engage and coordinate mechanics, tyre suppliers, inspectors and other contractors and evaluate their pricing and service standards.
11. Preserve complete records of work orders, inspections, repairs, invoices, maintenance histories and completed services.
12. Review breakdown patterns, repeated defects and vehicle downtime and provide reports supporting fleet reliability, safety and compliance.

Relevant Qualification/Experience

1. Relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in place of the qualification
2. Applicants with a relevant qualification will require a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
3. Experience planning or coordinating maintenance for heavy vehicles, trailers or commercial transport equipment
4. Knowledge of preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, repair scheduling and fleet roadworthiness requirements
5. Experience maintaining asset registers, work orders, maintenance schedules and service histories
6. Competence in Microsoft Office and fleet or maintenance-management software

Transport Manager (ANZSCO: ****** - Transport Company Manager)

Full-time/Permanent

$80,000 - $90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Direct the company’s metropolitan, WA regional and interstate freight activities, including express and door-to-door services.
2. Develop transport schedules after considering freight quantities, delivery priorities, customer deadlines and available operational resources.
3. Assign appropriate drivers, prime movers and trailers according to the dimensions, weight, destination and delivery priority of each consignment.
4. Monitor vehicle locations and delivery status through transport-management, communication and fleet-tracking platforms.
5. Liaise with customers, drivers, warehouse teams, freight depots and external providers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
6. Respond to vehicle breakdowns, delivery delays, road disruptions and missed delivery windows and arrange alternative solutions where required.
7. Plan and organise the acquisition, leasing or deployment of vehicles, trailers, fuel, replacement parts and other transport resources.
8. Work with the Maintenance Planner to arrange inspections, servicing and repairs and ensure unroadworthy vehicles are not dispatched.
9. Review expenditure on fuel, employees, contractors, maintenance and fleet operations and introduce measures to control costs.
10. Implement procedures governing the secure loading, restraint, transportation and unloading of freight to minimise loss or damage.
11. Ensure drivers and transport operations comply with licensing, work-diary, fatigue-management, load-restraint, chain-of-responsibility and safety obligations.
12. Lead and train transport personnel and prepare management reports concerning delivery performance, fleet utilisation, operating costs and compliance.

Relevant Qualification/Experience
