Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of carpentry work across residential and commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and is committed to working safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1.Review project plans, drawings and job requirements to understand work specifications and coordinate daily carpentry activities.

2.Measure, mark and prepare timber and other materials according to project dimensions and site requirements.

3.Work on timber framing for walls, ceilings and roofs across residential and commercial construction projects.

4.Undertake external carpentry works including cladding, decking, pergolas, stairs and other timber structures.

5.Carry out internal carpentry works including flooring, doors, windows, skirting, architraves and other finishing components.

6.Support renovation and refurbishment projects by carrying out timber adjustments, replacements and remedial work as required.

7.Use hand and power tools safely, follow workplace procedures and work effectively with other trades to achieve quality project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

1.Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.

2.Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in residential and commercial carpentry.

3.Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications.

4.Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, construction materials and safe work practices.

5.High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.

6.Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
