Overview:

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join the team! In this role, you will play a key part in project success by managing construction sites, planning activities, analysing budgets, and handling estimating and scheduling. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Wangara, WA.

Main tasks:

-Monitoring and coordinating the execution of site jobs.

-Conducting all project-related operations including organising job sites, developing schedules, maintaining quality control, hiring subcontractors, as well as ensuring projects were completed on time and on budget.

-Analysing construction budgets, project compatibility, planning and financial flows of projects and contracts.

-Analysing the cost of work, physical-financial schedule, as well as project forecast upon completion.

-Monitoring performance of subcontractors while managing and supervising less experienced site engineers.

-Ensuring that all activities were carried out in accordance with plans, specifications and industry standards.

-Monitoring site activities to ensure construction is carried out in accordance with approved plans and industry best practices.

-Supervising concrete pours to ensure they comply with the required specifications, placement procedures, and quality standards necessary to achieve the specified structural strength.

-Ensuring retaining walls and other structural elements are constructed in accordance with engineering requirements, with all site personnel understanding the scope of works and the critical construction methods required to maintain the structural integrity of the works.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

-Minimum of a relevant bachelor’s degree qualification

-At least 3 years' relevant industry experience

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

-Effective verbal and written communication skills

-Solid interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration abilities

-Proven ability to identify trends, mathematical patterns and factors

-Demonstrable ability to see objects spatially and visualize objects/models in both orthogonal and 3D form while interpreting detailed plans and drawings

-Able to measure/lay out construction works on-site and convert scales

-Capable of executing multiple work projects within deadlines and budgets

-Strong organisation, time management, budgeting and planning skills
