The company wishes to employ heavy truck drivers to work with our mining and Long Line Haul (East-West and North-West) clients
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo or materials.
- Work in remote locations and drive long distances.
- Deliver goods via heavy haulage trucks, sometimes over interstate routes or spanning several states.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain working operations, record any defects they find.
- Load and unload cargo with multiple drops.
- Secure proof of deliveries and return relevant paperwork to office timely.
- Ensure load restraint is performed as per heavy vehicle load restraint guide.
- Maintain radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
- Be efficient in completing the necessary delivery paperwork including run sheets and work diaries.
- Be able to take orders for new deliveries.
- Maintain truck log according to State and Federal regulations.
- Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
- Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
- Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows on completion of each trip.
- Keep record of materials and products transported.
- Keep a log of activities.
- Keep truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
- Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
Qualifications and Experience:
- AQF certificate II or III
- Valid Australian MC truck licence
- Minimum of 1 year recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience
- Able to work with, maintain and carry out general repairs and maintenance on pumps, metres and related equipment
- Demonstrate sound geographic knowledge Australia-wide
- Be highly reliable with a first-class approach to safety and customer service with good communication skills
- Fatigue Management Certificate
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical
- MSIC Card
- Load restraint certificate
- Require DG Licence or willing to obtain
- Dogs and chain experience
- Side and End Tipper experience
- BFM certificate is required or willing to obtain
- Forklift ticket is required or willing to obtain
Maintenance Planner (ANZSCO: 312911 – Maintenance Planner)
Full time/Permanent
$80,000 - $ 90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain an online system of all vehicles and related equipment (e.g. lifting equipment, cranes for lifting and loading onto trailers, hand-held equipment, manual transport equipment, ramps, straps, winches, chains and pulleys, etc) within the business
- Prepare preventive maintenance plans (the “plans”) that are aligned with the organization’s maintenance goals
- Generate work orders and create maintenance schedules to ensure the availability of resources to carry out relevant maintenance as per the plans
- Maintain sufficient inventory of parts needed to perform any planned and/or unplanned maintenance
- Inspect all facilities and equipment on a regular basis to prioritize needed maintenance before it becomes a problem
- Estimate costs of labour and parts
- Budget for and schedule any maintenance that must be performed on a regular basis and in cases of emergencies
- Serve as a liaison between maintenance personnel and vehicle operatives
- Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management
- Source, negotiate and develop service agreements with external maintenance providers
- Coordinate between maintenance providers, vehicle operatives and stakeholders involved in the provision of maintenance works
- Maintain a safe, efficient work environment for maintenance personnel, contractors and employees
Relevant Qualification/Experience
- Relevant AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or 3 years of relevant experience may replace the need to have a qualification
- Applicants with qualification will require a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Transport Manager (ANZSCO 149413 – Transport Company Manager)

$80,000 - $ 90,000 (salary will be considered commensurate to qualifications and experience)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organise the purchase/lease of vehicles, parts, and fuel.
- Organise inspection and servicing of vehicles.
- Record and report maintenance and repair needs for vehicles and related equipment.
- Keep organized records of vehicles, service/repair schedules and authorise payments for completed orders.
- Ensure regular road-worthy and safety audits on vehicles and equipment.
- Monitor and report on transport and transportation costs and make necessary changes to reduce costs – with a view to improve the business’s bottom line.
- Organize training sessions for employees (e.g., proper licensing/permits; training in driving vehicles of various types & sizes; proper use of lifting/moving devices associated with vehicles)
- Stay up to date with safety regulations and train staff to adhere to them when handling or driving vehicles.
- Resolve transport and transportation issues in line with business and customers’ need e.g., arranging appropriate type of vehicles based on the type and quantity of the consignments.
- Lead and coordinate the activities associated with the loading and unloading of consignments.
