About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, qualified Butcher to join our team. This role suits a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced retail butchery, and is committed to delivering outstanding products and service. Experience with English-style meat cutting will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare meat for sale by trimming, boning, cutting, mincing and slicing to customer and display requirements
2. Produce specialty products such as marinated, seasoned, crumbed or cured items, and sausages
3. Safely operate butchery equipment including grinders, mixers, sausage fillers and slicers
4. Maintain high standards of freshness, quality, hygiene and stock rotation
5. Serve customers with expert advice and friendly, professional service
6. Package, label and display products attractively
7. Maintain a clean, compliant workspace in line with food safety and WHS standards
8. Work collaboratively to ensure efficient daily operations

Skills & Experience

1. AQF Certificate III or IV in Meat Processing (or equivalent trade qualification)
2. Minimum 1 year's proven experience in retail or commercial butchery
3. Sound understanding of halal meat processing standards
4. Experience with English-style cutting techniques highly desirable
5. Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and within a team
6. Strong communication and customer-service skills
