As we continue to expand, we are currently seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team based in O'Connor WA. You will bring specialist engineering capabilities to provide technical support and advice to the Manager on manufacturing activities and act as an interface with the production team.
About the role:
As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing and continuous improvement of electronic systems integrated into MW Toolbox's range of products. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, production staff and product development teams to deliver reliable and innovative electronic solutions that enhance product performance, safety and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse market and customer requirements to develop innovative electronic products and translate functional needs into electrical and electronic system specifications.
- Design, develop and evaluate electronic systems, control circuits and 12V electrical solutions for vehicle accessories, service bodies and customised fleet vehicles.
- Research, select and specify electronic components, sensors, controllers and communication modules to meet performance, reliability and safety requirements.
- Prepare technical drawings, circuit diagrams, engineering specifications and other documentation to support product development and manufacturing.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, electrical load analysis and design customised power management systems, including dual-battery architectures for fleet projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, production and design teams throughout product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing and system integration.
- Develop engineering procedures, testing protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Australian automotive electrical safety standards.
- Conduct testing, validation, commissioning and electrical fault diagnosis, and implement engineering improvements to enhance product performance, reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical engineering support to production, quality assurance and after-sales teams, including investigating technical issues and recommending effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure all electronic system designs, engineering documentation and manufacturing processes comply with relevant Australian Standards, automotive electrical regulations and company quality requirements.
Key requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Co-operative Team worker is a must
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
