Construction Estimator

Overview:

Reofast supplies, fabricates and installs reinforcing steel for premium residential builders across Perth, taking projects from take-off and quotation through to fabrication, delivery and installation. The business is committed to delivering high-quality reinforcement solutions through accuracy, efficiency and exceptional customer service.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Perth, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing structural and architectural drawings, preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and developing reinforcement schedules and bar lists to support the accurate supply, fabrication and delivery of reinforcement steel products. This is a full-time ongoing position working 38 hours per week.

Main tasks:

-Analysing structural and architectural drawings to determine reinforcement steel requirements for construction projects.

-Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for steel supply, fabrication and delivery.

-Developing reinforcement schedules and bar lists to ensure quantities align with structural and engineering drawings.

-Preparing pricing breakdowns for materials, fabrication and logistics to support quotations and tender submissions.

-Coordinating with structural engineers, architects, builders, site teams and suppliers to confirm project requirements, quantities and pricing.

-Reviewing project variations and updating estimates, quantities and costs accordingly.

-Preparing marked-up drawings and maintaining accurate estimating information across internal software systems.

-Managing workload, priorities and deadlines to ensure quotations and reinforcement schedules are completed on time.

-Liaising with clients and builders to ensure estimating is based on the latest project documentation.

-Monitoring stock levels and assisting with supplier orders as required.

-Maintaining accurate estimating records and reports.

-Performing any additional duties as required from time to time.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

-Relevant qualification in Construction, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.

-Alternatively, at least five years of relevant construction estimating experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

-Strong communication skills with clients, staff and site tradespersons.

-High attention to detail and accuracy.

-Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

-Sound understanding of construction site operations and project requirements.

-Ability to prepare accurate reinforcement schedules within required timeframes.

-Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, workloads and deadlines.

-Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and suppliers.

-Solutions-focused with a proactive and can-do attitude.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Notion and Slack.

-Ability to maintain accurate estimating records and reports.

Annual salary will be between $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
