Network Support Technician

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 plus superannuation
We are seeking a reliable and technically capable Network Support Technician to support the day-to-day operation, security and maintenance of our computer networks and ICT systems. The successful applicant will provide practical technical support across network devices, workstations, business systems, communications equipment, user access and general ICT services.
Key Duties· Install, configure, monitor and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi and internet network systems.
·Diagnose and resolve faults involving routers, switches, firewalls, modems, wireless access points and cabling.
·Provide support for workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices and related ICT equipment.
·Assist users with network access, passwords, permissions, email, Microsoft 365 and general ICT issues.
·Monitor network performance and assist with backups, recovery procedures and ICT security practices.
·Maintain accurate records of ICT issues, equipment, assets and support actions.
·Liaise with suppliers, service providers and external technicians when required.
·Assist with ICT upgrades, equipment replacement and other technology projects.
·Perform other duties within the scope of the position as reasonably directed.
Required Qualifications and Experience· AQF Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Systems or a related field.
·Practical experience in network support, ICT infrastructure, help desk support or a similar technical role.
·Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity.
·Ability to diagnose hardware, software, network and peripheral faults.
·Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email systems and user account administration.
·Basic understanding of cybersecurity, access control and safe ICT practices.
·Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills and Personal Attributes
Desirable: Experience with small to medium business networks, VPNs, remote desktop services, cloud services, ticketing systems, asset registers or vendor certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft or CompTIA Network+ will be highly regarded.
