Are you a Compassionate and resilient Teaching assistant looking to make a real impact in the lobes of young people with challenging behaviour and SEND needs?
Tradewind recruitments are recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision within Wisbech is who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to Support pupils aged 7-19 who require personalised structured and therapeutic support to thrive in their learning.
This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with one pupil at a time, helping them navigate their educational, emotional, and behavioural development in a safe and consistent setting.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 tailored support to pupils with complex SEND and behavioural needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage emotional regulation and positive engagement.
- Support pupils both in the classroom and in specialist provision areas.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals to implement individual learning plans.
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and create a safe, supportive environment.
- Assist with sensory, communication, and emotional‑regulation activities.
About You
- Experience supporting children or young adults with Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, ASD, or other SEND
- Confident in de‑escalation, emotional regulation techniques, and building rapport
- Able to adapt your approach to meet individual needs across a wide age range (7-19)
- Patient, resilient, and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
- Full‑time availability, Monday to Friday
